Maxivue Impression Color Soft Contact Lens is a sterilized medical device. Before using this, please read this manual closely.
1. Purpose of Use
A single-focus lens is used for eyesight correction by direct contact with the cornea.
2. How to Use
2.1 Preparation before use
Strictly follow the description instructed by the doctor and this manual.
Before wearing or removing the lens, necessarily wash your hands and then check if there’s any abnormal issue on the lens.
2.2 How to wear the Lens Correctly
Put the lens on your hand and check the shape of the lens. Never use the lens if it has been flipped. If you wear a flipped lens, you may feel irritation in your eyes and/or rapid movement of the eyeball.
2.3 How to Wear and Remove Lens
①How to Wear
Clean lens, rinse it fully with multi-purpose solution. If lenses have different diopters, be caution that they are not to be changed.
Put the lens on the index fingertip of the right hand, lower the lower eyelid with a middle fingertip, and raise the upper eyelid with the index finger of the other hand to make your eye bigger.
Slowly approach the lens to the cornea and slightly contact it to the cornea, seeing a mirror. Please do not close your eyes while wearing lenses.
After the lens is correctly attached to the cornea, slowly detach your finger which spreads the eyelid, from the eyelid.
②How to Remove
Check the position of the lens by looking through the mirror carefully, raise the upper eyelid with the index finger or middle finger of the left hand and lower the lower lid with the middle finger of the right hand, and remove the lens, lightly holding the lower part of the lens with thumb and index finger of the right hand.
2.4 Storage and Management after Use
2.4.1 Daily wear soft contact lens and Monthly lens
①Clean
For cleaning the lens surface, put the removed lens on the palm, drop contact lens multi-purpose solution of 1~2 drops on the lens, slowly rub the lens with the opposite fingertip, fully rinse it, and then wear or store it in the lens case, which has been filled with multi-purpose solution, be aware that lens’s wearing side should not to be switched.
For removal of protein, do removal more than once a week by using protein remover or exclusive soaking solution which has a full removal function of protein.
②Disinfection and Storage
For storage of lens, fill the lens case with multi-purpose solution, which has a high effect of disinfection and was manufactured by specialized company, according to regulations, and put the lens into the case. Reuse of the solution must be prohibited.
Be aware that lens should not to be torn by lens case lid or other sharp parts during storing.
3. Directions for Use
3.1 The patient, who has allergic symptoms or mental illness, has dry eye or eye trouble, etc., the workers who work in a special environment which is an unsanitary place of dust, medicines, etc., and the person who has other proper reason, must not wear lens.
3.2 Consult an eye care practitioner for a medical check-up to identify physical and optical diseases and follow his/her instructions. When wearing lenses, be sure to clean your hands and follow the instruction manual. If you have any congestion or feeling of irritation, while wearing the lens, immediately stop wearing the lens, seek an eye care practitioner, and have a medical check-up from a specialist.
3.3 You have to clean the lens after wearing it, remove protein, and disinfect it more than once a week. Use lens care products with suitable materials manufactured by specialized company. Never use tap water or other privately made care items. Also, do not re-sterilize it. The shelf-life of lens care solution must be comply. (One day lens is not applicable)
3.4 The lens case (storage case) should be brushed and dry it once a week. Store the lens into the multi-purpose solution after clearning, and do not reuse the multi-purpose solution which has been used. Also, the multi-purpose solution should be changed once a week, and lens case should be changed every 3 months. (One day lens is not applicable)
3.5 If eye sight isn’t stable due to dry surface of lens, apply artificial tears to your eye, then blink eyes and able to get normal eye sight. If you wear the contact lens due to long-term, lack of sleep, or reading for long hours, and/or any other reasons, stop wearing lens to take a rest and never wear lens while sleeping.
3.6 If lens is damaged by nail or over-strength has been applied to lens, since lens may be destroyed or deformed, treat the lens gently and be aware when putting it in lens case, always keep lens case clean and when reusing the stored lens, first clean and disinfect it thoroughly. (One day lens is not applicable)
3.7 Caution that the lens should not to be contacted with soap, shampoo, spray, nicotine, cosmetics, hazardous chemicals, etc. and apply cosmetics after wearing lens, never flipped lens, be careful for any debris should not be attached to lens and never drop eye drops while wearing lens.
3.8 Before wearing lens for daily use, check if there’s any abnormality or dryness. Only wear lens under normal eye condition, and for wearing hours, since there's a difference between individuals, follow the precription of eye care practitioner and remove lens in case of sleeping, sports activity, swimming, bath, MRI test, etc.
3.9 Wearing the lens must be stopped during illness, pregnancy and childbirth, and the elders and toddlers must follow the directions of eye care practitioner. Never wear lens which has been worn by other patient.
3.10 If eye sight isn't stable due to dry surface of lens, use artificial tears according to eye doctor's prescription and if your eye is weary due to long-term or lack of sleep, stop wearing lens and take a rest and never wear lens while sleeping.
3.11 Before use of lens, necessarily clean it and then use it. Use lens care products of suitable material manufactured by specialized company and never use tap water or other privately made care products.
4. Use Hours and Period
4.1 Daily wear soft contact lens and Monthly lens
We recommend that using lens time is less than 8 hours and wear glasses for more than 8 hours per day. If you rub your eyes while wearing the lens, there would be damage on cornea, eye disease may be caused, or lens may be destroyed and so use with care.
Use period shall be observed per product, and even in case of same products, since using hour and period may be different by individuals, we recommend you to adjust hours of use according to the prescription of ophthalmologist.
5. Expiration Date
For 5 years from the manufactured date in the packing state of closed container.
6. Contraindication and Indication
Sense of uncomfortable, Dryness, Red eye, Itchy, Irritability, Feeling of irritation, Bloodshot, Smarting, Dacryorrhea, Burning sensation, Dry touch Conjunctiva, Keratitis, Pus, Edema, Excessive secretion, Pain, Purblindness
